About Roughcut Media Network

Roughcut Media Network was built on a simple belief: the economy should make sense to the people who keep it running. Too often, economic news is filtered through boardrooms, political talking points, or academic language that ignores how policies actually land in real life. We exist to close that gap. Roughcut breaks down economics, politics, and power from the ground up—through the lived experience of working people, renters, caregivers, rural communities, and anyone who has ever looked at their paycheck and wondered where it all went. We don’t treat economics as theory. We treat it as something that decides whether the lights stay on, whether the truck gets fixed, whether the doctor gets called, or whether the rent gets paid.

Our content cuts through corporate messaging and partisan theater to expose how money really moves and who it actually serves. We focus on wages, housing, healthcare, debt, labor, inflation, corporate power, and the policies that quietly shape everyday life. That means naming names, following the money, and backing up claims with real data—not vibes or talking points. We believe working people don’t lack intelligence or discipline; they lack access to clear, honest information that isn’t filtered through institutions that profit from confusion. Making that information accessible isn’t just education—it’s empowerment.

Roughcut Media Network is unapologetically working class. We don’t pretend neutrality where none exists, and we don’t balance truth against propaganda for the sake of optics. Our loyalty isn’t to a party, a donor class, or an algorithm—it’s to reality and to the people living with its consequences. We believe strong unions raise wages and safety. We believe healthcare should heal people, not extract profit. We believe housing is shelter first, not a speculative asset. And we believe that when working people understand the systems affecting them, they are far harder to exploit.

At its core, Roughcut is about dignity, clarity, and collective power. We aim to give people the language to describe what they’re experiencing, the data to back it up, and the confidence to challenge the idea that struggle is a personal failure instead of a systemic design. This isn’t polished punditry or feel-good economics—it’s rough, honest, and built to be used. More boots. Less suits. Louder than lobbyists. Forever working class.

We will never send you anything...
